PRP TREATMENT

What is Platelet-Rich Plasma?

Platelet Rich Plasma commonly referred as “PRP’ therapy, harnesses the body’s own healing powers to stimulate new tissue growth, giving a healthy appearance to many areas of concern.

This PRP treatment process involves a small amount of the patient’s own blood and the plasma is then separated out from that blood, by means of a centrifuge to create the platelet-rich plasma. This plasma is then injected into the area of concern where the platelets release their growth factors.

Platelet-rich plasma (PRP) is a non-surgical therapy for hair loss treatment. This treatment helps in treating thinning hair, minimising hair loss, and supporting the growth of existing hair follicles. PRP hair treatments work for pattern baldness (alopecia) for both males and females. Using PRP treatments can help to promote beautiful & healthier-looking hair.

Platelet-rich plasma for hair loss treatments contains growth factors (GF-beta, PDGF-AB, bFGF, IGF, VEGF, and EGF) and bioactive proteins (globulin, albumin, fibrinogen), nutrients, vitamins, hormones, and electrolytes that help in hair follicles by stimulating the cells.

After having the PRP treatment, patients are advised not to wash their scalp or hair for at least 24-48 hours.

In this process, firstly the patient’s blood is taken and put directly into the specifically prepared PRP tube. Then PRP tube is processed in the PRP machine and it gets activated. The PRP injections are injected into the affected scalp areas using small needles.

PRP facial rejuvenation is commonly known as vampire facial it is an advanced treatment to enhance the quality of skin through increased collagen production.

The therapy is also known as vampire facial because the blood is drawn from the patient’s arm and placed in a PRP machine that separates the platelets from the rest of your blood. The high concentration of platelets blood excluding the red and white blood cells is re-injected into the required skin part.

This PRP skin rejuvenation helps in increasing Collagen Production, reduces fine lines & wrinkles, improves moisture retention, enhances skin tone and texture.

Vampire facial treatments typically do not have any major side effects and are a minimally invasive non- surgical procedure. Most people can have the facial but will require a dermatological assessment as some conditions are contraindicated I.e. bleeding disorders.

Anyone suffering from acne scars, uneven skin tone, dry skin issues can have vampire facial (or PRP skin treatments). This treatment is very powerful to reduce fine lines and wrinkles.
